CQC

At Allport Dental Surgery, we’re proud to serve Bromborough and Wirral, operating as an approved CQC dental practice. CQC, or the Care Quality Commission, is the independent regulator of all the health and social care services in England.

The role of the CQC is to ensure the care provided by hospitals, dentists, ambulances, care homes and services in people’s own homes meets the national standards of quality and safety.

The CQC registers care services that meet their standards and carries out continual inspections to ensure they maintain these standards. They are authorised to take action when a registered service fails to meet CQC standards.

The CQC national standards cover all aspects of care including:

  • Treating people with dignity and respect

  • Ensuring the environment is clean and safe

  • Ensuring that food and drink meets people’s needs

  • Adequate management and staffing services

Being an approved CQC dental practice means that  Allport Dental Surgery is regularly assessed by CQC Inspectors to ensure we are meeting their strict conditions at all times.

During these checks, the CQC Inspector will:

  • Ask patients and customers about their experiences when receiving care

  • Talk to dental practice staff

  • Check that the right systems and processes are in place

  • Look for evidence that care isn’t meeting national standards

At Allport Dental Surgery, we’re proud of our strong track record of passing these dental industry inspections, being named an approved dentist surgery year in, year out. We welcome you to view the latest Allport Dental Surgery CQC inspection report.

Patients who may have concerns about Allport Dental Surgery not meeting any of these standards are able to contact the CQC direct on 03000 616161, or email enquiries@cqc.org.uk at any time. They can also write to CQC Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE14PA or visit www.cqc.org.uk.
